Big Boy Bed

We spent the day today organizing Matthew's room and changing his crib into a toddler bed. A few days ago I went into Matthew's room in the morning to find him standing next to his crib smiling at me. Jamie had taken it upon himself to teach Matthew how to climb out of his crib. He found it really easy once he was taught to climb out in a matter of seconds. This morning I found him standing next to my bed at 5am. I figured today was the day to take the plunge. Nap time was hard today but he eventually went to sleep. I can't believe how big my little boy is getting. He is growing up so fast. He is no longer in a crib! My baby is no longer a baby. I know I need to savor every moment.

Family Pictures 2011 (Not easy with a 2 year old!)

I asked my sister Amy to take some family pictures for us last week. It was really cold out and Matthew was not in the greatest mood. I am surprised we got any usable pictures. All he cared about was chasing a chicken that was running around the field.

Happy Haloween 2011!

We spent Haloween night over at my sister Amy's house. They go all out for Haloween. We had pizza for dinner and out out Trick or Treating in her neighborhood. Matthew was Nemo. I ordered the costume off ebay. I didn't realize until it got here how huge it was. I had to modify it a little just so it wouldn't drag on the ground. Matthew LOVED it. I thought he would want to take it off right away because it was so cumbersome but not so. He had a blast.
Matthew and Daddy heading to the next house.

Matthew got to trick or treat with his cousins including Sage (a butterfly) and Zach (a kangaroo).

Matthew didn't quite get that he has to say "trick or treat" or that you only take one candy.

Matthew ran pretty much the whole time we were out. He fell A LOT! His costume was quite convenient because it was like falling on a big bean bag. It was really funny to watch because he would be going so fast that he would trip and go head over heals and end upside down. All you could see was an upside fish with legs sticking out of the middle.

Cousin Dylan came along with us. Matthew loved running away from him. Dylan is such a great cousin to Matthew.

Before going home Jay took his dance class students out into the street where they danced Thriller. Matthew thought it was great. He danced right along with them.

You wouldn't know he wasn't part of the dance class himself.

My Handsome Men

I had to take a picture of my two handsome men on Sunday morning. I love these boys!
