We took another trip to Lake Powell this year with my family on the house boat. Fortunatly we didn't have any engine problems this time with the motor boat, we did have some challenges with the house boat but not enough to send us home. Matthew really loved it this year with a lot more for him to do now that he is older.

I think Matthew's favorite thing to do while we were in Powell was jump off the tube into Mommy's waiting arms. You had to be careful because he is fearless and we weren't always ready. Luckily we decided to try out some new "water wings" which worked out wonderfully. They taught him how to swim upright. I would definitely recommend them.

The kids had a blast catching a bunch of lizards from almost certain death on a little island that was gradually being drowned buy rising water. Matthew and Sage loved looking at them but were really nervous to touch them.

Of course if you are an Anderson you LOVE popcorn so of course we found Mom (Nana) making stovetop popcorn for the evening campfire gathering.

Dylan and Jamie built a great fire and it didn't take long for everyone to start gathering to roast marshmallows.

That's our houseboat in the background.

Jamie doesn't love Powell but he really enjoy making fires and he does a great job.

We stayed up fairly late enjoying the fire and the popcorn. The coconut covered marshmallows were the best.

We all took terns cooking. We were on breakfast duty. We make eggs and bacon.

Matthew loved the bacon. He had a great time.

My favorite activity at Powell is tubing. We took it really slow and took the little kids on the tube. Matthew wasn't sure if he liked it or not.

Matthew sure loved watching the activity behind the boat, especially the wakeboarders. Overall it was a great trip.
